Liam's Black Eye

At our house someone always gets hurt when the kids and even my big kid (Bobby) play. Someone always ends up crying by the end of the day and we always say "take a break and rub it out". This time Bobby and I were eating dinner and working on one of our our million projects we always are doing and kids were in living room playing. We heard Liam crying, we didn't check on him (bad parenting, I know) and told him to "rub it out". After about 5 minutes of hearing him whine Trin finally was able to get him up to play, and then all we hear is "AHHHHH" from Trin. We look up to see what the yelling was about now, and that's when I started to scream. First, I was worried he needed stitches, then the guilt set in. Thankfully Bobby doesn't panic like I do and got an ice pack and stayed up the entire night making sure he kept the ice on. Turns out while they were playing Lennon got up and hit Liam in the eye with his head. It took months for the black eye to finally go away.

Can't believe we registered 2 kids for school this year

Lennon's 1st Big Boy Haircut

Lennon has had some sensory issues and one of the ones we have overcome is letting people touch his head.  We decided to try and get his hair cut. Thankfully we found an awesome place that he loves.

Liam in the Hospital

Liam has always needed to use a nebulizer mostly in the Winter. This past Winter he was needing his neb a lot more and we noticed it wasn't helping his breathing at all. We called the after hour peds clinic since it was after hours and got him scheduled to be seen immediately. We got there and his o2 was at 70, they started him on oxygen and some steroids and did about 4 treatments with no luck. He had to be transported by ambulance to the main hospital downtown.  It was a pretty scary experience, but we found out he was having a really bad asthma attack. (we never knew he had asthma)  He stayed in the hospital for a few days and as of today we are finally getting his meds adjusted since the regular inhaler he was on wasn't working like it should be. He is now on a steroid inhaler he takes morning and nighttime and we've seen a huge improvement.
